Location based sports game show – where celebrity sports stars compete against talented kids.

NEWSROUND – Children’s BBC (Producer/Director)
Produced various daily news items from around the UK.

NEWSROUND EXTRA – Children’s BBC (Producer/Director)
12 minute Newsround Extra report on the next generation of video games. Showed all aspects of future video gaming, inc. a world exclusive on Playstation 2. Filmed report in Japan and UK.

SHORT CHANGE – Children’s BBC (Assistant Producer/Consultant)
Highly acclaimed consumer series for kids.
Investigated the possibility of a single video games format; like that of the movie industry’s VHS and music industry’s CD format. Interviewed Sega, Sony and Nintendo asking if they were considering this idea and if it were possible. Also investigated the rumours that Microsoft were developing a games console.

GAMERS – Saturday morning ITV (Producer of series 1,2 and 3)
Hi-tech lifestyle magazine series on ITV.
This Saturday morning TV series has proven to be the most popular show ever dedicated to video games, gadgets, consumer electronics, and anything else that’s new for 16-20 year olds. Overall task requirement: Managing a team of researchers, presenters, studio crew, location camera teams, TV graphic designers, and video editors. To produce a weekly, half-an-hour, prime time TV series for ITV.

The alternative video games series. Location directed individual items that were used throughout the series.

BAD INFLUENCE!, series 2 on Children’s ITV (Researcher)
The no.1 rated children’s show presented by Andy Crane and Violet Berlin. This studio show was very much like my 1999 series Gamers, but for a younger audience. Had the look and feel of Blue Peter!

SHORT CHANGE, series 1 on Children’s BBC (Researcher)
Highly acclaimed consumer series for children, which derived a lot of its content and style from its older sister, BBC 1’s Watchdog.
This series has proved so popular that it’s still running on CBBC.
