DJ MicroMix
Posted: 18 July 2007The latest craze within the DJ scene has been named after a cutting-edge music demo we created 20 years ago.
Back in the 1980’s, when sampling music was a mere twinkle in most people’s eyes, we produced a range of music demos for the Atari ST. These demos proved that a cheap micro computer could be used to re-mix popular chart music tracks. We named this activity MicroMixing, based on the fact that you use a computer (known back then as a Micro) to mix the audio samples.
