804 Goes Live!
Dutch Navy Sim launched to the world!
On 21st October “804” was launched on the Dutch Navy Website. “804” is our latest 3D simulator which we have been working on since August last year. It has been a long and sustained period of project work, but we are proud that the application is now being enjoyed by the general public.
It allows users to experience life on board the operational warship ‘De Ruyter’. You can meet the crew, explore the ship, interact with equipment and find out more about life on the waves. As well as the huge amount of information available in the simulation, the user can play through a variety of training missions to unlock more of the ship and the game. Landing the helicopter, target practice with the side guns and making dinner for the senior officers – it’s all part of a day’s work in 804! Go to www.804.nl to download the game and see for yourself! More information about 804, can be found here.

THE INCREDIBLE BOX EXPANDS
...into the room next door
Our own box has been straining under the pressure a bit recently so it’s time to expand into the office next door. This means more room for sofa’s, bean bags, arcade machines, flat screen TV’s, oh and desks. Yes, lots of desks so that even more of us can do much more work than before. That’s right, we are expanding so that we can fit in more desks. Not arcade machines. Desks. Definitely desks.

LOW FLYING BIRD ATTACKS DIRECTOR
Nature fights back at the Box...
Don’t get us wrong, we love the natural world as much as the next company. We work on a farm, we have lovely rolling green fields as far as the eye can see, we work in one of the greenest counties in this fair land. However, when one of the birds nesting in the outside corridor decides to try and blind Dan Clapson, by flying directly into his eye from point blank range, that’s nature getting just a bit too close. Luckily everyone (bird included) was OK, but Dan did have to screw one eye up closed for a bit – he looked a bit like a pirate…

40th BIRTHDAY PARTY!
Everyone had a 'cracking' time - some more than others...
Dan entered the 41st year since his birth last week and celebrated by inviting all the local celebrities (well, his mates, other halves and children) round to his field for drinks, a hog roast, birthday cake and a go on the bouncy castle / assault course. The sun shone over Dorset and as England wrapped up the Ashes it was turning into a glorious Sunday evening. Drink and been drunk, hog had been roasted, and faces had become red in the early evening sun. It had been a perfect afternoon, when suddenly a piercing scream erupted from somewhere inside the bouncy castle. Well, we all know that kids sometimes scream when nothing has really happened, but this one seemed to go on for longer and was loud enough for people to start getting a bit more concerned. It was when the screams turned into shouts of ‘I’ve broken my arm’, that we knew that it was more than just a graze on the knee. Dan’s nephew had fallen awkwardly and managed to fracture his arm in multiple places and dislocate his elbow. Ouch… Luckily the surgery went well and he is now on the road to recovery. Though I suspect it will be a while before he goes on a bouncy castle again…
